Confessions of a bridesmaid #1

Ok, I know this is way overdue since Vic and Ling announced their wedding like last year and Ling gave me and Q the privilege to witness them tie the knot as their bridesmaids.
Since I had to wait 26 years to finally become a bridesmaid, and to two wonderful souls and close friends no less, and I have full authorized permission from the bride-to-be, I intend to fully commemorate our shared experiences across the next four months as we count down to pure excitement and madness...

Ling invited Q and I to join Vic and her for their first discussion with their wedding designer -The Wedding Present along Bukit Pasoh (if that sounds familiar, that's cos its a stone throw away from the New Majestic Hotel). Had never been to this boutique before and the first impression received - from the Philippe Starck signature lamps to the entire carpeted interior and the private hidden closet big enough accommodate two spacious changing rooms and racks of evening and tea dresses - was my friends are in safe, exquisite hands!

We turned up there after for each subsequently fitting so that we could be privy to the progressive delivery of her two wedding gowns. The day finally came when I could whip out my camera to capture some pictures to blog about.
Blessed with like a zero-fat body, (constant walking reminder of what you get when you run 10km weekly/biweekly) she looks really good in the gown, no body-hugging gone wrong in this instance. The train is like almost 2 feet long! Kudos to Mel for accomplishing such a feat of a gown! It has such an aura of a fairy tale wedding gown with a mega long and voluminous train, yet it silhouettes her slim frame so well. To add complexity to the design, she is going to tailor the gown in a way that Ling will be able to hide the train after the church ceremony so that it would be easier for her to concentrate solely on being pretty.
Q and I are going to have much on our hands on that day! Not that we mind of course. =)
Next up, bridesmaid dress shopping!!!
